Scholarships – search by what makes you unique
People tell me all the time that they’re having trouble finding scholarships. What I find is that they’re looking in the wrong places!
People tend to look local – local newspaper, local parent groups, local churches/temples/synogogues – yes these are sources of scholarships but there’s a big ‘ol world out there just waiting to hand money to the right person! You need to look for it.
Are you a fan of the author Ayn Rand? You could win $10,000 with a good essay.
Are you a Tennessee female high school junior senior who’s going to study in the sciences? Then take a look!
Are you a minority studying business at the University of Louisville? You might hit paydirt!
Are you Rwandan? Your former king (who now lives in Washington DC) is giving scholarships for you to study outside Rwanda.
I found these scholarships in a matter of minutes just by searching the web. Think about what YOU can find! Do you play sports? Instruments? Are you good at a board game (don’t laugh – there are scholarships out here)? Love movies or books?
Determine your interests and use them to help you. Your only limit is your imagination and the time you’re willing to spend for free money.
