Stafford Loan is not a company
This is a question we get a lot, partly because the company I work for runs StaffordLoan.com. “I applied for a Stafford Loan, can you look up my status?”
Well, maybe. It depends who you applied with. You see, Stafford Loan is not the name of a company, it is a TYPE of loan that many companies deal with. All Stafford Loans are governed by the Federal government, so you’ll get the same rates no matter where you apply. The only differences are benefits, such as getting a reduced rate for using direct debit or for making a certain number of on-time payments.
If you need information on your application, you need to know who you applied through. So keep those confirmation emails and confirmation letters, they’re quite important!
